Eitoku Three Lions

In the aspects of picture elements, a positive statement is created by the gold surface. The gold surface attracts and reflects the light making the animals to appear real. The determining factors in this painting are the density of gold lines as they give the two lions the needed bulk. Besides, the gold spirals are necessary as they capture the beasts’ tails and body linking them to an imaginary world in the unreal environment. A lot of exaggerations and simplification have been on the painting including the size, accuracy and the intensity of the color used; however, these are the decisive elements in carrying the insightful message.
