Eirika's War: A Short Story

It was fairly rushed plan. The woman had only planned the crime two days before she set out to do it. The woman in question is Eirika, a thief, who wanted to help the town she grew up in from the damages of war it sustained. Her plan started when she was sneaking around a thick forest she when she saw a young boy. “A ha!” Eirika thought, peering through the trees, “This boy is just what I was looking for. He looks like he comes from a rich family with all that fancy clothing.” Eirika started to hastily move forward as to try and get a closer look at the boy. “Geoffrey! Geoffrey where are you?” A deep, booming, unknown voice called out. Eirika paused and looked around to see where the voice might have come from. Unable to see where the voice …show more content…
Back when she was a child, it was a bustling town filled with joy, but when the war reached the town, it was devastated. Enemy soldier pillaged the town and destroyed homes and buildings. It has been 5 months since the war ended, however the town hasn’t been able to recover yet. Eirika finally reached her room in the inn and proceed to formulate a plan to kidnap Geoffrey. Two days had passed, and Eirika was having trouble figuring out a fail proof plan. “I need to take a break” she decided. She went into the forest near the castle grounds. Strolling through the forest always helped her as a child. While walking she saw the young boy playing in the woods again. “I could do it now, why shouldn’t I do it now. He has no idea that I’m here. He’d be taken completely unawares.” She thought in her head, “It would work, I have the things I need to to do the deed on me. But, what if it goes wrong.” Eirika paced around in circles debating in her mind whether or not to kidnap him now. “Who cares! It’s now or never!” She crouched down, moving quietly forward. Geoffrey’s back was to her, it was the perfect moment to grab him, gag, and tie him up, and she took that perfect opportunity. It was over instantaneously. Geoffrey didn’t even have time to understand the situation before he was gagged and blindfolded, but when he did understand he wiggled and kicked.
