"We are not some casual and meaningless product of evolution. Each of us is a result of a thought of God," proclaimed Pope Benedict XVI. A problem in the everyday world is the issue between the teachings of the catholic religion and science. The people of the Catholic Church have not shown much interest in the theories of evolution because they do not know about the scattered thoughts of evolution and how it reflects on their faith. In Genesis, it teaches the way the earth was created, where in science, scientist study for the truth with evidence and experiments that can be tested and proven, however what is taught in the early teachings of Genesis cannot be proven, it is meant for people to believe and trust in the word of the Lord. Theories of evolution help answer the questions people have on the world and how it was created. There is talk about evolution everyday and there are many different theories on it including whether it is the complete truth or not. Pope Pius XII is a catholic man that addressed the issue of evolution in a 1950 in a document that …show more content…
He believes that the scientific world has proven facts and is correct but he believes God is for sure existent and is our wizard of faith. He also teaches that the early stories of creation in Genesis are true and explain how God created earth but the thoughts of evolution aren't entirely wrong. This made Catholics wander what they were supposed to believe because they thought it was against their faith to believe in evolution. Although Pope Francis tells the Catholic Church they can believe in evolution as well as Catholic teachings, most Catholics show ignorance toward the subject.
