The Egyptian Pyramids were built by the egyptians, and not the slaves as many thought. It took around 2 or more years for the pyramids to be constructed. Scientists are still baffled at some of the things the egyptians did for this pyramid. Many people have questions about the egyptian pyramids such as,how was it constructed, how are the pyramids around the world linked, and what were the tombs really for. Back then the ancient Egyptians built pyramids as tombs for the pharaohs and their queens.
Tombs were used as houses for the dead. The original plan for a tomb was to use it to protect the dead and provide the deceased with a dwelling equipped afterlife. They would put all of the deceased personal most important belongings with them in the tomb, so that they would have an happy afterlife. “The pharaohs were buried in pyramids of many different shapes and sizes from before the beginning of the Old Kingdom to the end of the Middle Kingdom.” said by
Scientists have proven that the pyramid Djoser was the first pyramid to have a tomb put in. The 3 massive tombs built in the Fourth Dynasty are considered monumental pyramids, these tombs were built for the pharaohs Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure there, housed the royal mummies and their worldly effects thought to protect and be used by the kings in their afterlife.
