Gods and Goddesses
Gods and Goddesses are one of the many things in the Egyptian culture and religion and sadly one of the less studied subjects in ancient Egyptian culture. The primary topics for this presentation are the Gods, The Goddesses and why they were important in Egyptian religion, culture and belief. The Gods and Goddesses have been in Egyptian culture since sometime in prehistory. They have many abilities from The Sun to Death and The Underworld. All of them are quite unique and some are even related in very weird ways. All of them look very different to having blue painted skin to having the head of a horse or some sort of animal or creature. Overall, the Gods and Goddesses have very different appearances and abilities.

The original god is Amun, God of Air, Sun and Sky(also known as the Creator God.)” (historyforkids.net) He is married to a women named, Mut which, in ancient egyptian language, means, Mother, but he has been married to two other woman named Amunet and Wosret. “Some of them looked very much like humans; however others were part human and part animal, where some of them looked like crocodiles, jackals, cats, rams and even falcons.” (Historyforkids.net) Some of the Gods are related and here are a few, Amun is the father for the God Khonsu, Osiris is the brother of the gods Isis, Set, Nephthys, and Horus the Elder and Ptah is the father of Nefertem, Maahes and he is the husband of the Goddesses …show more content…
They all are in fact have been married to someone and have had kids so they do have relatives in being a mother and sister to another god or goddess. Some of the relationships of the goddesses are, “Hathor being the sibling to Ra, the wife for Horus and Ra and being the mother to Ihy.
