I am applying to teach ENGL 1030, fall 2016, in order to help students improve their writing skills and gain experience teaching at the college level. While serving as an English tutor for three years, I have realized that I enjoy helping other students become confident in their writing and have found myself to be competent in helping students realize their potential writing skills. I want to help students understand how to write effective arguments and how to express themselves academically and professionally. In addition to helping students, teaching ENGL 1030 will help prepare me for my career.
