The route of one’s education used to be formed solely off one’s gender. Women could not be preachers, teachers, or anything that required an educational background for they did not even have an education. This is reflected in theological texts, such as the Quran and the Bible. Unfortunately, there are those who have carried this into the present day. Although far too many women are still restricted from receiving the education they deserve, we do have many more women that receive the same education as men. We live in a brave new world that gets braver and newer by the minute. What was once a collectivist society has now grown into a group full of people with individualist philosophies.
