The amount of work and involvement you want the government to have would be your political ideology. I discovered during the interview that my dad is more of a conservative. He is set in his ways and believes that we should stick to the constitution. Also he believes that the …show more content…
Efficacy does not have to do with how the government contributes to us, but with how we contribute to the government. Our contribution is through things like voting. My dad believes that voting is important. However he feels like it does not count like it should. He wants the electoral college to be obsolete and the winner to be based off of the populous vote. There tends to be three main things that happened in that person's life to influence them this way. The three factors that influenced my dad were his age, social class, and his morals. Age plays a role in what you believe cause it goes all the way back to when they were growing up. My dad is fifty years old which would make him more conservative. He was just raised in his ways to where he does not like change, and he feels like everybody should work hard and if you work hard and well you should be rewarded. This would obviously make a person lean more towards the side that appreciates the working class. The last thing that influenced him greatly was just his morals. What he feels is wrong and right. A person will obviously choose someone to represent them that feels the same way they do that way the chances of them doing things you like are higher. His morals puts him against the liberal views because they want even more laws when we clearly already have
