1.) What were the effects of World War I on the rest of the world outside of the US? The aftermath of World War I saw drastic political, cultural, and social change across the continents of Europe, Asia, Africa and even in areas outside those that were directly involved. Four empires collapsed due the war, old countries were abolished, new ones were formed, boundaries were redrawn, international organizations were established, and many new and old ideologies took a firm grasp in people’s minds. Also, what was Germany like after WWI? In Germany after WWI, there was a socialist revolution, which led to the brief establishment of a number of communist political systems in, mainly urban, parts of the country, the abdication of Kaiser Wilhelm II, and the creation of the Weimar Republic. Do you think that they were dealt the worst card after the war? Yes, very much so. What was America like after the war? After the war, the US’s industry grew, the women’s movement progressed forward, and the government adopted new diplomatic policies. Manufacturers had to keep production up to produce more material in a short amount of time, new technologies were developed to help manufacturers meet the needs of the government and people. Also, more employment opportunities had opened up for women, as well as for African Americans.
