Earth is constantly being polluted in a variety of different ways. The pollution that continuously happens is harming us and the things around us. Plenty of the pollution that happens in our society can easily be slowed down or eradicated in a whole. Among the various types of pollution that need to be stopped water pollution is one the most damaging. Water pollution damages the environment, so it needs to be controlled because it can cause diseases, it can affect soil, it affects animals that live in water, and clean water is also essential to our survival. Animals such as sharks and whales rely on water to survive. If the water that these sea animals need to survive is polluted then they will not thrive and will ultimately die. When water is polluted with various types of garbage and chemicals, the fish and other seas either get caught in some of the trash or digest some of it. Sea animals are notorious for getting caught in the plastic that is used to hold cans of pop, thus trapping them limiting them from being able to eat anything. That can lead to plenty of deaths to fish and plenty other animals that live in seas. When some fishes die it can also affect other sea animals like sharks that depend on the availability of fish in order to feed themselves. The food chain makes fish prey for other sea animals and if fish are dying from the polluted water then that can also affect their predators that live in seas. Those that eat smaller fish will have less food around them to eat. In turn that will probably causes a lot more deaths in sea animals. We all need clean water to survive. The human body cannot last a week without drinking water. Water is essential to the daily life of people as a whole. While we use water daily, if the water being used is polluted it can harm the human body. Just as I covered before having polluted water can cause diseases. Those diseases can be anything from little things like diarrhea to extreme diseases such as cholera. Not only can polluted water bring diseases to humans but it can also hinder us from doing daily routines. If water is extremely polluted then cooking will become a problem. In order to cook almost every meal known to man, water most be used in some way. While cooking, we use water to clean the utensils, clean meat, or even to boil the food. If the water is polluted these things will be very close to impossible to do or impossible to do effectively. Cleaning meat with polluted water will bring the pollutants into your system. The same goes for boiling food with polluted water. Such simple tasks that are essential to our survival like those will not be performable due to polluted
