The first is usually how politicians run their campaigns. This means that with the older generations voting more, politicians are going to give them a disproportional amount of attention, time, money, and effort. With older citizens giving politicians more attention as well, they often are willing to give them endorsements. This makes it easier for politicians to forget about the young vote and only hit the issues the old vote are concerned about (Wayne,
