Treaties are supposed to help make peace not cause wra. On June 28, 1919, the Treaty of Versailles was signed and started World War 2. This treaty was supposed to end World War 1 and is blamed for starting World War 2. The Treaty of Versailles contained 15 parts and 440 articles. The treaty greatly weakened Germany by stripping it of many of its powers which angered many Germans. After World War 1 and while the treaty was intact, Hitler rose. Hitler started many national problems. Lastly, many were disappointed and unsatisfied with the outcome of the treaty. Not all countries met the requirements of the Treaty of Versailles. The Treaty of Versailles blamed Germany for all the destruction done in World War 1. They demanded $33 billion from Germany due to the damages. Germany didn’t pay so then they raised to $2.3 trillion. During all the financial chaos, the Nazi Political Party, also knows as Hitler, rose. Hitler caused many problems. He denounced the Treaty of Versailles in 1935. He abolished the territories with Austria, Czechoslovakia, and Memel that were discussed in the treaty. And on September 1, 1939, Hitler attacked Poland. If the Treaty of Versailles didn’t demand money from Germany there wouldn’t of been any financial problems. All of the focus was going towards the financial problems that no one was paying attention to Hitler. Without the financial problems people would’ve been more focused on Hitler and the rise of his political party could’ve been avoided. The Treaty of Versailles made Germany lessen its army. They were forced to reduce their military service to 100,00, had a limit of 24 navy ships, no submarines, the naval personnel couldn’t exceed 150,000, and they had to abandon all military and naval aviation. After the signing, Germany feared that Bolshevism would occur like it did in Russia. Russia’s government was overthrown during the signing of the treaty. Russia suffered heavy casualties during World War 1. Bolshevists took over Russia because there was no government. Bolshevists are the communist form of government adopted in Russia and led to the Bolshevik revolution of 1917. They also feared a political party would rise because there was no army to control the country. This is how the Nazi Party rose.
