More than 58,000 American soldiers were killed while more than 150,000 others wounded. A disastrous effect had not only the fight with Vietnamese soldiers but also herbicides – “Agent Orange”, which increased rates of i.e. cancers, nerve, digestive, skin, and respiratory disorders among the veterans. All of that definitely contributed to the massive costs of the war and healthcare contribution.
Moreover, we cannot forget how enormous influence the conflict had on the mental health of veterans. Drawing conclusions from the books and films describing
