Until this point, there had only been two big divisions between the wealthy aristocrats and the lower, poor working class. As new industries arose, the need for “white collar” jobs grew as well. For the first time there was a need for jobs such as bakers, insurance brokers, lawyers and shopkeepers. This class was successful and able to afford the new and cheaper mass produced items. The middle class had educated children, lived in nice homes, and were involved in the government. The more the Industrial Revolution grew, the more successful the middle class became. Another constructive effect of the Industrial Revolution was urbanization because urbanization resulted in great national income. Urbanization is the process where more of the population live in the city than in rural areas. Migrants started moving from country areas to large cities to get jobs. Countries in Europe and North America started becoming more industrialized and during this development urbanization grew. As urbanization grew, more industries grew becoming a major cause for national
