Step 1: Why we chose this topic
Lack of education has been a worldwide issue since a very long time, many people like Malala Yousafzai, have fought for the rights of education of girls. Despite many tries and determinations “121 million children worldwide do not attend school - 9 million more girls than boys. The report says an estimated 65 million girls are being denied basic education, increasing the likelihood they will live in poverty or die young.” (Tomiuc, E. (2003, December 11). There can be several of reasons why girls are denied to a brighter future in order to be happy and love themselves, for example many girls live in war zones were they are not allowed to get an education and …show more content…
But this research also has to be objective because these girls have been through situations that we have faced really hard situation in which cases in order for us to understand their hardships we have to be unbiased, because most likely we cannot relate to the situations they have been …show more content…
For example the interviewer has to dress up like the people in the community with the type of clothing they wear, also some people in the community might feel harassed as a foreigner is evading their community, another consideration is that some of the informant might be compelled to lie because they might be afraid or embarrassed. To handle these type of situation the interviewer has to make the person they are interviewing comfortable and build a trust with the person to show that you are not judging them in any way. Another consideration can be made is that since that the informants for this research will be teenager girls we will have to take permission from their parents in order to talk to them and some parents might not agree to this which may create obstacles, but to make the parents agree we can tell them that the interview will be private and no one will know what a certain teen said so there is no need to be scared.
