American based their diet in processed food and every processed food had a big amount of sugar that can cause diseases like obesity, heart diseases, alzheimer, liver problems, diabetes and others. One of the problems with sugar is that make Americans sick without their knowledge. Also, sugar is addictive and life without it is impossible. Americans have to know the way to change their diet. It is hard to avoid processed food when Americans do not have time to cook because of their life style. Unfortunately, processed food is cheaper than any other type of food. Drinking soda or fruit flavored punches don’t satisfied the thirst moreover gives you more thirst. Diabetes type two is a disease related with high sugar levels in the body; this disease is common in children and older people in America. Many research show a connection between the consumption of sweet drinks like soda, fruit punch, and energized drinks with develop diabetes type two; in consequence, the American Diabetes Association recommends that Americans should reduce their consumption of sweet drinks to prevent the disease (American Diabetes Association). Diabetes is a serious disease because can double the chances of suffer a heart attack; in addition, it is a chronic disease but it can be control with a diet low in sugar. Diabetes is a disease that develop gradually and sometimes people with undiagnosed diabetes don’t have symptoms. Some symptoms of diabetes type two are increased of thirst and hunger, frequent urination and infections that if not are treated well can caused the amputation of body parts, and fatigue; in contrast, oppose to what is common thinking being overweight is not a symptom of diabetes. Cardiovascular disease are a range of diseases that affect the heart and the blood vessel. The overconsumption of sugar can lead the vessel to block and cause a heart attack or stroke. Exist a misconception about the consumption of sugar and the relation with cardiovascular disease, people believe that sodium and consumption of salt are related with cardiovascular diseases, but sugar increase high blood pressure more than salt. (Abassi) Consuming fried food can cause heart disease because of the trans fats that contain; in addition, being in overweight can lead to suffer heart disease because of the narrow of the blood vessel.
