The specific type of person that I feel are connected to stimulants are adolescents that are around the age of 16-18 years old. These are high school students who attends raves, clubs, or concerts quite often. Night life events has the highest probability of drug use because it stimulates your body and mind much quicker. Adolescents who see their friends being entertained by drugs are more likely to be influenced of drug use. For example, with an adolescent mindset they can say, “My friends have been doing this for a long time and nothing is happening to them; therefore, it is safe for me to use it.” For this reason, people will use these drugs for a reason to have fun and “fit in” with the group. I do not remember going to high school and being taught about how drug use is immensely high at nightlife events. Therefore, I have always assumed people are often high from cannabis or drunk when attending night life events. But recently, my friends have explained to me, alcohol and cannabis is not the only substances they used or other people would use because it does not give out a strong effect compared to other stimulants. Therefore, stimulants plays a huge role for these night life attendees. They feel more awake and energized which is important for people who are tired after a day of work. I was surprised because I was never educated about where drug use usually occurs or how it would help produce a more fun environment. And I believe this is important to understand and learn because we can try to prevent drug use or at least decrease by knowing where it usually occurs. I also see our American culture has become about these big rave events that people would spend $200-$600 to attend for famous DJs. For example, a known big rave event is called Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas and the prices were at least $300-$400 for three days. That is bizarre! And yes, my friends who have taken drugs at EDC have informed me that there are drug use because that is how people stay awake for three days. Hence, we should
