The reason for this behaviour is because social media takes people away from real relationships. Social media has depleted face to face contact/relationships. Face to face contact use to be the only way people could meet others and when one is face to face with another person they cannot pretend to be someone else. Now days Facebook, Instagram and other social accounts allow people to pretend to be someone they are not. An example of this would be the television show Catfish. There are some many cases where a person pretends to be someone else and they think nothing is wrong with this behaviour even though it is hurting others. This act is extremely selfish! Social media has also made people become every lazy.
