Corruption, Evil, Agony, Selfishness, Pity. All of these things will something in common, they are a result of power. When people are given Power, Power will always have these negative effects on people. Some people will always abuse the power they are given, as shown in Antigone and in history.

Even in stories it shows that power will lead to negative effects if one person is given too much. In the book Antigone, there is a king named Creon. Creon had become king due to both the people in line for king dying in a battle for the throne. He claimed the throne because of his relation to the throne and the gods.
