Living conditions for the hawaiians was very difficult. One reason why it was difficult is because of the living conditions. For example their houses. When you lived back in the 1800s in hawaii, the working conditions were very rough. In source one it tells you all about the working conditions. Here are a few that stood out to me. The working conditions consisted of many long hours working in the beaming hot sun. This would mean that the workers would have to wear very thick clothing and a lot of it to not get sunburnt while out in the fields. The workers also had to deal with getting cuts all over their bodies because of the sugar plants scratching their skin and all of the potential bites they would get from all the insects and rodents in the soil and the ones that were just running around. Because of the long hours working in the fields, the workers would usually end up being very tired and exhausted. This could lead up to sickness because of not having enough sleep. The workers would have to go to bed at 8PM and would usually wake up around 6:30AM. This would mean at least a 12 hour work shift and only 10 hours of sleep. This is how the hawaiians had to work and deal with everyday of their
