Obesity has become an increasingly problematic issue that individuals are currently trying to manage. Within previous and recent years, the number of individuals that have become overweight has raised noticeably, mainly in the United States of America and throughout the world as well. Facts have been proposed and even show, that the overweight outbreak had sprung roughly within the 1980’s, as suddenly a sufficient sum of the United States population had become obese. “Our backsides are the butt of jokes in every other country” (Klein 28). The United States of America has held the title for being one of the fattest nations in the world, and it still does. Going back to the 1980’s, once obesity had stumbled across the American population, Americans went on a diet craze and were investing in low fatty foods, exercises equipment such as treadmills, elliptical, etc. and overall trying to invest in a healthier lifestyle. Alternatively, while the over dieting segment commenced, the obesity numbers had ascended. Fast-forward to today, the caloric intake that individuals consume is turning out to be more harmful to individuals than they think. Back then and even in the present day, millions of Americans suffer with being obese, individuals seem to be carrying more of their body’s standard weight. Because of such consumption behaviours, there is a long list of health issues, such as; cancer, depression, and respiratory disease that are all intertwined with being obese. There have…
