Netflix the endless library of movies, TV shows and the main reason people don’t have time for anything. Netflix provides easy access to many old and current shows that end up being watched by millions, and all good things have its trade-offs. Netflix targets every age group, but teens and college students are the one’s that are most likely to be sucked into the addiction of watching Netflix so much that they begin to show a decline in grades. Many of its users become so glued to Netflix that they, choose one or two more episodes instead of hours of sleep. Netflix has many of users putting in tons of hours a day causing teens to avoid doing their homework. Many of these teens will be losing important knowledge because they whether would rather watch shows or movies over doing their homework. This would cause a huge decline in grades for many of these students while also impacting their school grades. Due to students having a decline in grades many parents will become upset with their child and not know that the reason is Netflix. There are college students that are more of the targeted demographic, many of them leave to their dorm to watch Netflix. Netflix for many colleges has become such common thing do that they now associate Netflix with other activities that leave no time to be doing assignments and decrease in grades begin to happen. Many college students admit to Netflix being one of thing they do after class, but many also admit that they seen their grades fall due to only doing half of their work. Netflix is such an addiction to many of its followers, that many people are consumed by the streaming service. Social media has shown how people have been effect by Netflix such as people staying single because they rather binge watch then going out. Netflix users will admit to saying that they spend a lot of time watching Netflix, but most of them refuse to stop watching it. Netflix for many of its users is a huge library of movies and shows, that easily keeps their attention for hours, until they finally realize that they have things to do. The hours lost in watching Netflix for many college students or middle age adults have spent less time with other people such as their significant other or family. To be canceling time spent with these people because of Netflix just causes frustration which leads to less of a bond with your family and possibly being left by your significant other. Netflix users will say things like, “oh I need to catch up on the last season” or “I lost track of time”. Which just makes their spouse more upset while causing the users to become isolated state and less involved with his/her social life.
