Decent Essays
One of the significant problem I faced was leaving San Diego to come live in San Bernardino. I left all my friends and family at San Diego. I was really sad knowing that I was moving to San Bernardino I did not want to move just thinking about moving made me feel worse than I had felt. The hours past so fast that it came to the time that we were leaving our hometown.
The thing I was going to miss the most was my friends and going to the beach every weekend. We were in summer vacation so I could not make new friends. Being stuck home all day knowing I can not make new friends sucked. I was not excited

It felt sort of like in the book when Jeannette says, “We moved around like nomads” (Walls 19). I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and my family moved to Zanesville, Ohio when I was about nine months old. That move was hardly a tragic experience for me seeing as I don’t remember it, so I don’t think it really counts. I lived in Zanesville until I was almost nine years old. This was the only place I had ever known, and when my parents said that we were moving, I was in complete disbelief.…

A universal theme for me moving from Texas to California is overcoming. I was 8 years old when my family moved, and had to overcome knowing no one, a new school, and being out of my comfort zone. At this age you tend to start making good friends, all hang out in groups, and be less adventurous. My parents kept saying, “Find people who like the same things as you, and everything else will be easy”. The next week I did just that.…
