They should know that every student 's situation is different and some things can go unseen. With prices being so high and students pressured into attending college, they sometimes find themselves in a financial crisis. In his article Marcus states “Most state financial-aid programs, meanwhile cover only four years” (144). Not every student can graduate in exactly four years, and it is not because every student who needs extra time is lazy. Some students have other thing going on in their lives that they can not put aside, so they have to tackle multiple task at once. This can also tie into another point on how cost of attendance can affect a student 's daily life.
Prices being high and some students not receiving the proper help they need is key issue to why homeless students exist. Financial programs need to have a program where they look more into situations to see if people are homeless. In Homeless on Campus by Eleanor J. Bader, she states “Broadway, Montgomery, and Dahir are three of the forty-four homeless students from across the country who have been awarded LeTendre grants since 199” (710).
Some Financial programs to need to rethink on whether they should help out the students who need the extra
