Marijuana is the most popular illegal drug in the world. Marijuana comes from the plant cannabis. Cannabis has an active ingredient tetrahydrocannabinol or THC. THC makes feel high and affect the way our body works. Pregnant women marijuana smoked in a different ways such as steam, seeds, and flower and also it can be mixed in to foods such as cookies, lollipops, brownies and tea. Marijuana has been used for centuries as a medicine, although we didn’t know about its health effect. Some of the causes are women lose weight during pregnancy and some women are drug addicted. When the mother smokes marijuana, the baby is exposed to increase the amount of drug they receive through the blood. Since marijuana being legal in Colorado there are lots of change on the adult, pregnant women’s and infant from heart rate to brain function problem. Marijuana use by pregnant women might seems like a no barrier of bad idea but it’s a cause of different health problems. Marijuana users in Colorado and Washington already receive warning that the drug shouldn’t be used by pregnant.
There are some pregnant women’s that believes marijuana is not cause of health problem. Pregnant women’s taking marijuana is because they believe that it’s not harmful. Some research shows pregnant women’s taking marijuana to get some relief from their pain. The main reasons of taking marijuana during pregnancy are it helps to keep food by reducing throwing up to much, help them for their appetite and helps them to take a nap. Because of taking marijuana during pregnancy she got lots of health problem because of that she can’t take care of her baby.
