Introduction-
Many schools are switching to a more technological based way of teaching. A computer for every student is a goal that has been discussed for years among politicians and educators. Despite the numerous calls to meet this goal, most school systems in the US have fallen short. Indeed, some school systems have attempted and scrapped laptop programs as unmanageable. Even with the difficulties involved, laptops improve the education of students in schools.

It is far easier to revise papers using word processing software than it is using pen and paper. Spell and grammar checks find larger problems before peer editing even takes place. There are websites you can go to that also will spell and grammar-check your paper. Computers give you many ways to make sure your paper has little to no flaws, allowing you to spend more time on the quality of your paper than checking for small mistakes. Keeping track of sources and organizing references using websites like Citefast and Easybib are more convenient than old fashioned ways, when you had to go through the tedious process of writing out sources. There is no problem moving sentences or even whole paragraphs from one part of the paper to another without rewriting the whole thing like you have to do with pen and paper (Keppler, Weiler & Maas 284).
