Heroin is very addictive to anyone who uses it. If the mother is addicted then the baby will also be addicted. Heroin crosses the placenta to the baby. There are many affects that by the mother doing heroin can happen to the baby. The baby can be born premature and have to spend a long time in the ICU. A second cause that can happen because of heroin is bleeding in the brain also called intracranial hemorrhage. Third cause for using heroin can result in death of the baby. There are many more problems the baby can have. If the baby is born it will have a heroin problem because the mother used heroin it can have many effects. One can be the baby has excessive crying. Second can be a fever. Third can be seizures. Last can be vomiting. There
