Wildfires are one of the top disasters out west of the United States. Wildfires are a event in which a fire is spread over a forest or brush. In some cases these can be tiny little fires, therefore; easy to put out. But when most people think of Wildfires they think of the giant fires out west, the fires that are on the news and can be burning for several days in a row. A fire that broke out in 2013 in the Arizona area was able to be seen on google maps satellite footage. These fires are nothing to joke around about, and should be investigated in any way to help prevent them, or stop them when they do break out. These fires could burn several trees. If the fires burn down to many trees then several woodland animals will lose their homes. The fires could also burn sever al these creatures which would in bad cases kill them. If these fires are not able to be controlled then they could carry and burn down houses in the forest, or even small communities or resorts. The smoke from the fires could carry and get in our lungs which could affect our breathing and cause troubles in the future. The smoke could also carry in the atmosphere and cause pollution and also have an effect on global warming. One of the first cases of wildfires was recorded by a scientist named Wendy Wolbach. One of the most famous wild fires was the YellowStone wild fire of 1988. These fires were so historical because they burned over 30% of the park 's acreage. Since the weather contributes to wildfires such as hot, dry, windy conditions it is best to check the weather before burning. This way if you want to have a fire you know if the weather says dry, hot, or windy it is best to just hold it off for better weather conditions. It is also a better idea to used more controlled locations for burning, such as a open field, fire pit, or authorized burn area some towns have. This will help instead of trying to go out somewhere to burn without consent or without really knowing if there is going to be some sort of consequence. The last thing you could do is not burn anything combustible or unusual. It is common for people to throw garbage or other things into campfires, but these materials can react violently to fires and lead to a quickly spreading fires.
