To begin with, I would definitely like children in the future. However, I do not want to have my own children. This is partially due to the fact that I, most likely, have Factor V. Factor V is a blood disorder with strong effects in pregnant women. I also know how many children I want and when I want them. I would like to adopt children for many reasons, not just because of my Factor V disorder. My mother had complications in her last pregnancy due to the blood clotting disorder. Her life, and my brother’s, was at risk. If the procedure would have taken even fifteen minutes longer, they both may not have been here today. To add, my aunt as also many issues with the disorder.
