What do you think about pollution in the world? There are many factors that deal with the environment such as: air pollution by burning fossil fuels. Environmental problems have increased highly throughout many centuries. Our population is growing out of control and has put an increase pressure on natural resources, water, raw materials, and land. In the world environmental problems are getting worse every day because of extracting the resources are put into production which could cause pollution. To help the environment there are ways to protect it by using renewable materials, recycling, and planting trees. In the Earth there are many resources that we use to survive, but it could be depleted if it is overused. People could …show more content…
(Jianguo and Diamond ,2005). There are many environmental issues in China. The environmental problems that China has faced are cropland losses, depleting fish, increased in waste, desertification, soil erosion, water pollution, overgrazing, and many more problems in the environment. The environment in china is one of the major countries that is suffering from losses and is continuing. (Jianguo, L, and Diamond, J.2005). Overpopulation is one of the important roles that take part in the environment because many people are depleting and extracting natural or nonrenewable resources. The population in china has 1.3 billion people and is around 20% of the world’s total population and it is doubling in size which the population will keep growing (Jianguo, and Diamond, .2005). According to the table of environmental conditions (Jianguo, L, and Diamond, J.2005); China is 129 in ranking of environmental sustainability index of 2000, 2.2 carbon dioxide emission (metrics tons per capita in 2000), and 2,780 total carbon dioxide emission (million metric tons in 2000). In China the air quality is very low and three out of four of the city residents live in good air quality areas. Acid rain is a major problem in the cities because 60% or more of the rainy days every year in the 1990s and affects 25% of China and is most critically affected …show more content…
The energy is mostly used for heating, lighting, and air conditioning. Omer, A. M. (2009)To prevent pollution , people could use renewable materials or energy and would be less expensive. Buildings could be designed to have environment friendly technologies such as the change in lighting and hybrid ventilations instead of air conditioning. Omer, A. M. (2009). In 1977, Montreal Protocol law, governments took action to stop chemicals that are used as refrigerants that could destroy the stratospheric ozone layer. There is an increasing urbanization in parts of the world because cities are growing rapidly and population growth. Omer, A. M. (2009). The world’s population there is about 50% and 7.6 developed countries that are urban residents. Omer, A. M. (2009). In the world 2% of the earth’s land surface is surrounded by cities and 75% of the people living there consume the resources. Omer, A. M. (2009). The types of environmental problems that humans cause are water pollution , marine pollution , ocean dumping , and radioactivity or radiation. Omer, A. M. (2009). The way to prevent carbon dioxide emissions and improve housing is energy efficiency. In Britain waste about 20% of the fossil fuel and electricity use. Omer, A. M.
