Effects Of Ecstasy

Decent Essays
Ecstasy can affect you many ways. It can cause the body to heat up to high, dangerous temperatures. It doesn't help that ecstasy is most popular in dance clubs where the body is dancing in warm environment. Most clubs now a days have “chill rooms” where a person can buy cold water and cool off. When your temperature gets too high, organ breakdown can occur, especially in the kidneys. That can easily be fatal. Ecstasy messes with your natural sense of fear. Which makes you more friendly than normal. After you come down from your high of ecstasy you might fall into a depression. This is because your serotonin levels, your “happy chemical”, skyrocket and when you come down they get lower than they were before you took the drug.
