There is a famous celebrity called Sanjay Dutt. He was also found guilty in this case. People found three AK-56 in his house. He also had some relation with the terrorist. He said that he did not do the bomb blast. He was outside of India at that time. He is a son of a respected family. His father was a well-known political leader. He also lives in Mumbai with his children and wives. He said he wanted to protect his family during Mumbai riots, so he kept those rifles. Labeling theory is also divided into primary and secondary deviance, stigma, retrospective and projective labeling. “Labeling theory is the idea that determines and confirmatory result not so much from what people do as from how others respond to that action” (Macionis J., John 182). We can see both primary and secondary deviance in this case. The primary deviance is breaking the norm which will not create a lot of problems. In this case, also Sanjay Dutt kept rifles inside his house, that is against the rule. He does not use those rifles to harm other people, so it does not cause a big problem. The bomb blast was a secondary deviance. Secondary deviance is what people do after they know they are already deviant. There was already a riot in Mumbai between Hindu and Muslim and after that, the reaction of this fight was bomb blast. The secondary deviance is normally repeatable and this bomb blast also happens in 13 places. There is also a stigma in the related person of this case. Stigma is when a person commits a crime then after many years also they will have negative images in the society. Now Sanjay Dutt is free and living a happy life. He is still a celebrity but now he is not getting work and respect in the society. After serving in a prison, people are still not considering him a good person. The Dawood also wanted to returned back to the country, but people still hate him. They will never forget his for that incident.

There were whispers of police being baby killers, and the bombing itself was investigated for years to come. This means that the whether an act is defined as deviant depends on the context on which the act was committed. For example, stealing food to feed the hungry could be celebrated by some, whereas stealing money for one’s personal gains is scorned upon.…
