I was able to help pull her out of her emotional setback. I first listen. I found out none of her family had not visited her in a year and the manifestations of social support in this environment were indirect and infrequent. I make it my point of duty to visit her and would take turns praying for each other. She read the bible, and I would do the same. I asked the nursing-home director if I could take her on walks through the gardens on the grounds. She gave her permission. We made friends with the grounds ' keeper, and I asked him if we could help with the gardening he said yes. This gave her something to do on her afternoon, and she also started talking with more of the residence, and the ones who could not walk she would go by their bedside and read the bible or pray with them. The nursing-home director asked me what did I do to bring Ms. White-Moore out of her slump, I said to her all I did was listen, preach and offer my support to her. I called her this Wednesday, and she is doing just fine. I am still learning and trying to acknowledge the responsibility of a pastor’s duties. I thank God for this
