Animal abuse is a critical issue as it is concerning the welfare and treatment of animals. It is illegal by the law as it is about intentional and unintentional harm to the animals which is caused by humans. The cruelty may come towards the animals in two main forms of abuse physical and psychological.

Domestic abuse is more directed towards the vulnerable individuals such as animals and children. Children often abuse animals as well because they have a sense of power over the animals.

Over the years, the rate of animals being killed has increased dramatically as in the early 2000’s the rate of farm animals being killed was around 8.9 billion but now the rate is around 56 billion. From the 56 billion around 570,000 tonnes of meat is wasted. This is linked to issues since many farm animals are being slaughtered for the growing populations. Some farm abuse animals by keeping way too many of them locked up in a small space without sufficient amount of food and water. Chickens for example are being fed antibiotics in order for them larger faster and it allows them to be alive in unsanitary conditions. I decided raise awareness as I felt that there was a need to do so since many people who abuse animals do it either intentionally or not intentionally. I felt that there was a need to inform people who abuse animals unintentionally since they were not aware about it. I decided the best way for me to achieve that was to create a website which was informative about animal cruelty. I also decided to make my website public so people other than the school community could be able to see it which helps to spread more awareness. The website that I created is about how much animal abuse impacts the animal’s behaviour and mainly about how wrong it is to hurt an animal just because individuals have more power over the animals since they are vulnerable. This website also provides information about physical and psychological harm that are often endured by the abused
