So, since 1973, the United States government has considered acupuncture to be a true science. In order for the government to do this, there must have been sufficient evidence. Numerous studies have been conducted, including one in Germany of over 11,000 people. The study’s results made it clear that acupuncture was both “clinically relevant and was cost-effective” (Chiu, 2014, p.125).
