Pre-Practicum Classroom Analysis

There are many roles that each of the Six Essential Elements have played in the effectiveness of the organization of my pre-practicum classroom. There are also multiple ways these elements have supported the learning of students in the classroom. The way that the first element which is Well-Structured Lessons has contributed to the effectiveness of the organization of the classroom is that the lessons/activities that are taught by the teacher are usually taught in groups and she makes sure that she has the student take their time on their work by keeping a steady pace. The teacher also uses the use of technology with lessons by using Ipads on occasion if the students are doing independent work. If there is some group work going on at the centers …show more content…
The teacher wants them to step out of their own comfort zones sometimes because by doing that it will benefit them in the future. The way this fifth element has contributed to the support of student learning is that if the teacher creates lessons and activities that are fun and interactive this will help promote a love for learning for the students. One of these teaching skills is being more confident in the classroom when teaching lessons and connecting with my students. A way to propose the development towards this skill is to talk more to my students and practice my lessons before teaching them so they go well and I will be more confident and less nervous in front of the students. Another skill that I need to work on is patience with my students. A way to propose the development towards this skill is to work on my own patience with the students patience. By doing this it will make me slow down so I can work at my student’s own paces so I know that they will do well if we are going at a slow pace with schoolwork. The areas that need continuing support to build my own confidence is being less nervous speaking in front of all the students and making sure I pay attention to time with my lessons and making sure they are accurate and correct before
