As humans mature throughout life, they slowly acquire knowledge and experience. Just like humans, video games provide the same effect as gaining experiences through living, but in a far advanced world. In addition these precious moments are ones that cannot or is difficult to replicate in real life. The chances of being the coach of the New England Patriots are one in a billion, but with the help of video games, anyone can coach an all-star team. A common misconception of video games is its uselessness. However, scholars and researchers beg to differ as their research concludes endless skills and opportunities to acquire while indulging in video games. Video game is rated one of the top entertainment available today, creating feelings that are ineffably satisfying. Satisfaction is one of the key elements in providing the state happiness. Video games often provide humans the feeling of satisfaction. The reward system that is integrated into video games grants the satisfaction humans often not get in reality. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that helps control the brain’s reward and pleasure centers, regulating movement and emotional response. Being rewarded activates the brain’s dopamine, providing a feel good release of energy that empowers our minds. Happiness is not the only mood that is affected by video games. Other positive symptoms are reduction in stress, improved mood, and a slight boost in confidence. As an avid gamer myself, I have been found guilty of using this technique to relieve my hard day’s workload of stress and pour it into video games, easing and preparing my body for future …show more content…
The video game industry is rising fast and will soon dominate worldwide. With more than 9 out of 10 children playing video games regularly, I predict the use of video games in their everyday environment to solve every day problem. Due to the immense productivity video games can create, the world will evolve into a new improved generation; the generation of video games. Yes, video games may cause problematic occurrences’ such as eye damage and the graphical violence that dwell within them, but the ever-growing world will demolish those issues. Even with though knowing the potential hazards of video games, the positive benefits outweigh the negative by a landslide. Imagine being able to computer from playing a video game?
