America is considered by many to be “great” because this is a place of freedom and opportunity. It offers a chance for people from all over the globe to come, work hard, and be successful. Building structures that would attempt to separate “us” from “them” is a huge step back towards segregation and discrimination. Not only would this structure hinder relationships between Mexico and the USA but it would also affect the lives of many Mexican Americans.
