Though volunteering opportunities vary immensely, it exposes people to see the realities of the world outside of their daily routines. For one thing, a volunteer distinguishes how their life differs compared to someone else’s when they help others. Individuals who participate in community service then learn to have gratitude and respect for the things they have in their lives. More importantly, the time spent helping someone or their family can directly change their life. When people do perform good deeds the feelings associated with it fuels their passion and desire to do more.
