Gun control laws are put into effect to ‘help keep citizens safe’, but it doesn’t always work that way. In Chicago crime rates have spiked since the new Gun Control laws have been put in effect. As stated on gun-control.procon.org just because there are control laws does not mean that people will follow them, the only thing these laws are doing is taking guns out of law-abiding citizens hands and removing their ability to protect themselves. Also, Gun Control laws violate an individual's right the own a gun. Gun control laws are ineffective laws and therefore, should not be in effect.
