EE106 was able to correctly identify a circle and a triangle. EE106 was able to correctly write the number 5. Given a list of numbers, he correctly pointed to the numbers 5, 7, 9, and 10. When provided with a list of numbers and letters and asked to circle only the numbers, EE106 circled both the numbers and letters. When asked to point to the symbol that means “add” or “plus”, EE106 was not able to correctly identify the addition symbol. When the examiner held up 3 fingers, EE106 said that she was holding up 6 finders. Additionally, EE106 was not able to consistently count to 6.
WRITING
The Written Expression Composite measures EE104’s ability to quickly write letters and spell. On this composite, he scored a 79, which falls at the 8th percentile and in the low average range.

For the spelling task, he was not able correctly write the first letter of words. For example, he was asked questions like, “Write the first letter that makes the \j\ sound in jelly.” He was also not able to spell simple words, such as cat and in.
READING
The Early Reading test measure several skills deemed important for developing reading skills. Early reading skills include naming letters of the alphabet, identifying and generating rhyming words, identifying words with the same beginning and ending sounds, blending sounds, matching sounds with letters and letter blends, and matching written words with pictures that illustrate their meaning.
