The quote reveals Snowden’s true motives to reveal to Americans what’s really going on with our National Security behind closed doors. The NSA collects vital information about Americans every day without consent let alone them being aware. The leaks essentially were a political awakening for the American people opening their eyes to see the bigger picture of our so called democracy society. In a sense Snowden did break a few laws but only for the right reasons. His motivations affected the public in both positive and negative ways; in regards on citizens perspective was from his leaks.
