I do agree with Tuomas; in general, to do something against that you have already agreed with the company can be argue as misconduct. However, in the case of the information would affect humans rights or society… this reminds me the case of “Edward Snowden”, he worked for Central Intelligence Agency, a former contractor for the United States government. Edward revealed thousands of classified NSA documents to journalists etc. According to Wikipedia, he is now living in an undisclosed location in Russia.
So, as Tuomas’ comment, we should think about the concept of balance between harm and benefit.
