What would you do if you believed that your loved one was dead? Would you do something completely out of temerity like Edward in New Moon by Stephenie Meyer? When Edward finds out, or assumes that Bella is dead and he looses his head. He decides he’s going to Volterra, to tell the Volturi of his wrong doings. Alice comes to visit Bella and her visions show Edward exposing himself, so Alice and Bella follow him to Volterra and stop him. I would give this book a B+, because I like fantasy side of it, the tension and the romance. I am giving this book a B+ because I like the fiction of vampires and werewolves. They are contrasting characters in the book, and they are both there to protect Bella. The pack of wolves come from an Indian

When Edward leaves Bella, Bella does not know what to do with herself. She goes into deep depression. She does not interact with many people besides Charlie; she mostly sits in her room all day with the exception of school. Bella slowly learns how to live without him again; she does not feel the pain anymore. She becomes closer with Jacob and they start to form a relationship. Jacob is head-over-heels in love with Bella ☺ (Hyphenated modifier). Bella shows a little interest in Jacob, but she is mostly just using him as a distraction from the pain. They spend a lot of time together, building motorcycles and driving them, walking on the beach and just talking. Bella knows that driving the motorcycles is a bad idea, and that is why she does it. Before Edward left he told her: “Don’t do anything reckless or stupid, do you understand what I’m saying?” (Meyer 71). She is aware that if she does something dangerous enough, she will hear Edward in her head. As soon as she starts up the motorcycle, she hears his voice telling her to stop. She also jumps off a cliff into pungent cold water, she starts to drown and he begs her to not give up. Even though he left her and told he did not want to be with her, he is still looking out for her and protecting her. Bella pushes her limits to try to get him to come back to her. In the end she gets him back, when Jacob tells him that her father is planning a funeral he assumes …show more content…
My favorite part of the book is the romantic tension. Bella loves Edward, Jacob loves Bella, and Edward does not know what he wants. Bella and Edward were doing fine before her birthday party. After the fight between Edward and Jasper, Edward becomes as cold as stone towards her. ☺(Simile) He does not trust himself or his family around Bella. He does not want her to get hurt because of his actions and that is why he must leave. In the meantime, Jacobs’s love for Bella continuously grows. Bella is really fond of Jacob, but she does not the same way to Jacob that she feels about Edward. Jacob knows she does not feel the same way: “ ‘Sorry. I know you don’t feel exactly the way I do, Bells. I swear I don’t mind. I’m just so glad you’re okay.’”(Meyer 376). Jacob sticks by Bella’s side through all the hard times, and when Bella leaves him to go get Edward without even batting an eye. Bella goes to the ends of the Earth to save Edward from exposing himself to world and killing himself. She also backs him up when the Volturi come after him. She would die for him, but would he do the

I have so many different thoughts and opinions about this book. I started out loving Has to Be Love, was super conflicted in the middle, but thought the ending was pretty spectacular. Like I said, conflicted. Our narrator, Clara, was rather frustrating to read about because she was so torn between what decisions to make about particular things, but she was a truthful character (to us at least). Reading Clara's justifications for wanting certain things made me more interested in the story and what would eventually happen…

Because of my swift pace of speech when talking about Jean and Verity, it was clear that Edward was under a lot of pressure from his family. I think he feels that, although Jean is trying hard, she can be "a little short tempered." Through my tone of voice when speaking about Jean, I understand that their relationship was very strained. This contrasted with my tone used when talking about Verity; "I just want her to be happy". This gives the impression that he cares more about Verity than about his wife.…
