I look at it similar to building a house. When the foundation of a house is strong, the house will last and overcome the tremors of natural disasters, in the contrary, when the house lacks the strong foundation, we all know follows when the blustery weather comes. Similarly with kindergarten and primary school, this is the time when, although children need the foundation for their consecutive levels of education, they also need a strong foundation and basic knowledge for their future life. In Kiswahili they say “samaki mkunje angali mbichi,” means (fold the fish when it is still wet). (WHY SHOULD WE INVEST IN KINDEGARTEN.). Education in this level must be sustained as a human right and social justice for each child. As renowned teachers of their offspring, parents hold the obligation of providing education, and protection for their children, in addition be present when their children need them. I would say that, family is the first school where children learn the love of God and of people, in family they learn to give to the need, to pray, and tricks of life.
