I have always been able to run long distance but my motivation behind changing the issue would improve my confidence and athletic ability greatly. So my motivation was both intrinsic and extrinsic. Intrinsic from the feeling i get from being able to keep up with other athletes but also the extrinsic reward of being able to run faster. Though at the beginning of my project i had next to no motivation to do any cardio vascular activity due to the painful feelings it creates for me. Physical pains such as lactic acid build up, held my motivational levels back. But overtime as i forced myself to do more and more cardio my motivation grew, though it wasn 't quickly over time i saw my speed increasing and this extrinsic reward increased my motivation. Now my motivational levels are so high for running and the feeling of getting better that i rarely miss a day of cardio work in the gym.These feeling i gained for cardio which had originally hated has been both intrinsic and extrinsic and has had a large impact on how i feel about myself as an athlete and how i feel about running in …show more content…
Lack of motivation for students only impacts performance in a negative manner and , creates problems for the student and the advisor teaching the student. In nearly every aspect of a student 's schooling career requires tons and tons of hard work to be put in. Although some say no matter the conditions, if an issue is presented the human 's natural response is to care for the issue at hand. In most cases in order for the work to be done the student has to have motivation otherwise the projects and homework would all go undone.This can be seen as students with low motivation show lack of interest.
