Nelson Mandela, who is a widely-regarded South African politician, once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Education, as much as it has been influential, has changed a lot itself over the years. Not only has it changed in significant ways, that transformed education as a whole, but also in less apparent ways that often go unnoticed as they slowly evolve as time goes by. There are a variety of ways that it has developed. Not only has it been changed in the obvious ways, such as technology, but in other ways that are a little less evident, or at least less talked about. For example, community college as a whole is modifying its entire approach, and physical punishment in schools has been largely restricted. One way that education has evolved, and is continuing to evolve, is in community colleges. They 're beginning to restructure their entire system and approach. Community colleges have often been seen as “less” than other colleges that are four-year institutions. Many changes have already taken place in community colleges. They previously were a place where students who didn 't care could come and slack off. However, that approach of allowing students to slack off has been discarded and that is no longer acceptable in community colleges. They are being recognized more than they have been in the past.
