The Importance Of Education A Major Part Of Life

Education is a major part of life. When an individual is educated it appears if he/she have more opportunities than other and that is because he/she does. People go to school to learn other things that are not taught at home. It has been said that “money makes the world go around”, however, I believe education make the world go around. For many children education outside of the home usually start at the age of four or five and continue until the age of eighteen. There are generally three levels to a child’s formal education. The first level of education is the elementary or primary level which range from pre-kindergarten (pre-k) until fifth or sixth grade depending on the school system. The next level will be middle school or secondary …show more content…
This is where kids learn to listen and respect other adults outside of their family. Middle school is an extension to everything that was taught in elementary with a few added bonuses. Kids will learn how to work individually, in groups and work as a team. They will also start to learn about time management. Here, kids will be taught by several different teachers unlike elementary age students who are with the same teacher all day. Children will learn to follow a more rigid schedule. At this level kids interest are more develop and they have a better idea of what they want to be when the grow up and how to go about making those dreams come true. Finally, in high school students are given more responsibility. Not only will they have several teachers they will also have different classes on different days of the week in which they need to stay on top of to make sure assignments are done. In this level their interest are more develop. Students learn how to research information and put that information to good use. Students are taught that it is up to them to get things done, it is neither their parent’s responsibility nor the teacher. Many people know what that want to major in when they make the decision to attend college, but if someone is not sure they can start by taking all the core subjects that can be applied to any major.
