When Martin Luther King-Jr states that “Intelligence plus character-that is the goal of a true education”, his expression resume the key for a students and educators succeed in their lives. Most of parents believe that if their children are enrolled at an expensive school, their children will receive a high education. As adults, high education mean graduate with master degree in a specific area. However, high education is far beyond of pay an expensive school or graduate. The excellence of a curricular content includes the engagement in diversity perspectives, enhancement of critical thinking skills and learning experience, and positive anti-bias learning environment to promote equality in a global community. Despite the fact of student and community background, the curricular content should be developed in a high stander to offer opportunities for students succeed in their academic outcomes. Jay P. Greene states in the article The Myth of Helplessness that “…we find that a number of school strategies have been shown to raise student achievement, even among particularly disadvantaged student populations.” (Greene). Sometimes, the words blame and excuse are in our vocabulary. Even thought, the school system offers to the students and educators an excellent school environment and an anti-bias curriculum, if the relationship between educators, students, and parents are deficient, none of these efforts will succeed. Education for young children starts home on their social environment. In addition, professionalism and passion for teaching are the two characteristics that educators should have it. Even thought, a teacher act professionally in their daily bases and do not understand their students individually, the student achievement will be jeopardized. Despite of the fact that educators and parents are developing efficient strategies to improve student achievement, if the student do not endeavor success in their studies, none of the educator’s strategies will work. As in the article The 10,000-Hour Rule, the author Malcolm Gladwell states that “The idea that excellence at performing a complex task requires a critical minimum level of practice surfaces again and again in studies of expertise.” (Gladwell). The author states that the students need to practice 10,000 hours to achieve successful results as a musician. In sum, the positive teacher-student relationship and students’ response contribute to reach a level of high
