Billions of years ago, Earth was a place with no inhabitants, but also was a place for growth and creativity. Occurrences happened because that was the nature of various effects such as volcanoes erupting or harsh waves. At that time, humans did not exist and where balance did not play a vital role for the earth’s well-being. The creation of the landscape came to existence naturally, which later paved the way to civilization and its habitats. Each organisms played a role during that time from molten lava creating land to the separation of land due to continental plates drifting and erosion. When humans started appearing on the earth 200,000 years ago, balance of every living being became fragile with every action benefiting of harming the world.

As people live with a particular lifestyle, they do not observe the damages that society is causing the world. During these moments, education plays its crucial role for dependency. Without the knowledge and observation about the planet, how can one understand the situation and outcome that may happen? School prepares the students to face reality and to maintain balance is a priority as a duty for living beings. One example that uses education as a tool is the topic of Education for Sustainable Development, where it “incorporates key environmental challenges like climate change into core subjects… and will increasingly be in a better position to take the lead in changing behaviour and adopting sustainable lifestyles” (“Importance of Education for Sustainable Development”). Even though do not retain that knowledge, they learn a small amount of how the world, their home, is suffering and relies on biotic beings to fix the issues. Sharing the information to a few people can pass that to other people and it may spread until it becomes worldwide. One important concept of education is to give the knowledge to a person to be able to incorporate it in their daily tasks.
